About

Hi, I’m the human behind Live Laugh Roll — a site powered by stories, sarcasm, art, gadgets, and a deep need to never sit still.

Specifically, I’m a creative introvert but I’m very capable of being an extrovert at any time. I’ve occupied various marketing roles including VP for a speech technology company in Cambridge UK to running my own public relations agency for high technology clients in the San Francisco Bay. For quite a while I enjoyed that. I could do all the necessary bits to make that work like manage people think creatively come up with ideas you know all the usual management stuff but what I didn’t like and got very tired of was the lack of authenticity in my life. So that’s what started this website in about 2012. I started thinking about Working for myself and traveling. There’s a couple of stories you’ll find in here about how that all occurred but basically I ended up starting a 2 year road trip towing a trailer across the US. Alone by choice.

That sounds like a lot but there was more because I don’t sit still very well. I was always an artist and I done quite a selection of things which you’ll see here in various places. When my son was still crawling on the floor I put him in front of the pans cabinet where he banged on pans and made a lot of noise and I sat at the table right across from him and designed the first child shopping cart seat. Yeah that was a while ago. I still have the pattern for it And it’s available in my shop for just $2. It’s cute as can be and anybody can make it! I also designed kids clothes and various products for a while and in my spare time while I was a stay at home mom for nearly 3 years I started a computer history website. I’ll put that story here somewhere.

I’ve also written several books, nonfiction and creative nonfiction about my travels and even a couple of X-rated love stories. I put those in a separate section under “Shhh”. Anyway you’ll find a weird assortment of things here because I like to try things. And that’s what led to this to your road trip. I was completely inexperienced. I had zero knowledge of towing anything let alone all the things that go along with owning a trailer. I guess that’s what intrigued me. That and having silence for as long as I wanted to have it.

So, have a look around, there’s a lot to see. And join me on Instagram or Substack (and TikTok if it’s still around) where other I post other stories or random thoughts, rants and raves.

A Little Bit of About

My published writing is mostly nonfiction. There are a couple of, well, scandalous romance novels from ages ago but those are no longer published. Most, I’ve done business writing specifically for technology, therapists and lawyers.
